The sovereignty brief
Hosted in Australia is not the same as controlled in Australia.
Under the US CLOUD Act, a provider subject to US jurisdiction must produce data within its “possession, custody, or control, regardless of whether” it is located inside or outside the United States. Data residency answers where the disks are. Sovereignty answers who holds the keys.

What sovereignty actually means in practice
Australian company, Australian law
Green Racks Pty Ltd is an Australian company operating its own facility in Osborne Park, WA.
Your hardware, your keys
With colocation you own the servers and the encryption keys. We provide space, power, cooling and connectivity. We don't need access to your data.
Requests come to you
When the data is on your hardware, legal process for it generally has to come to you, through Australian process, rather than to a foreign platform.
You can stand next to it
Book a tour and see the rack. Try that with a hyperscaler region.
The split that works
You don't have to leave the cloud
Keep commodity workloads where they are, and move the sensitive core onto hardware you control: the model, the vector store and the logs that touch personal or privileged information.
AI hosting on NVIDIA Pro 4000 GPUs is available if you'd rather not buy hardware. See pricing or order in the portal.

FAQ
Sovereignty questions
Is data in an Australian cloud region safe from the US CLOUD Act?
Not automatically. 18 U.S.C. § 2713 applies to data in a provider's possession, custody or control regardless of where it is located. If the provider is subject to US jurisdiction, location alone does not remove that exposure.
What does colocation change?
You own the hardware and hold the keys. Green Racks provides the space, power, cooling and connectivity. Legal process for your data would generally need to come to you, under Australian law.
Does colocation put data beyond all legal access?
No. Australian law enforcement and regulators keep their own lawful powers. What changes is who holds the keys and who receives the order.
General information, not legal advice. Source: 18 U.S.C. § 2713.
